Description

Early 19th century. Single storey, 4-bay gothic lodge house with bowed S end gable. Harled with painted stone margins.

E (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: deep-set part-glazed timber door with letterbox fanlight in bay to left with later bipartite immediately to right, pointed arch windows to outer bays (that to right with altered glazing).

S (ROAD) ELEVATION: single bowed bay with pointed-arch window.

N ELEVATION: door to centre with 2 windows to each flank.

W ELEVATION: blank piended bay to left with door to recessed bay (also piended) at right.

4-pane glazing pattern in fixed(?) timber pointed-arch windows, plate glass glazing in timber sash and case bipartite window and modern glazing elsewhere. Grey slates. 4 pairs tall and squat octagonal stacks with some polygonal cans, and later brick stack.

GATEPIERS: flat-coped, square-section, fielded ashlar gatepiers.
