Description
Earlier to mid 19th century. 2-storey, 6-bay pair of traditional houses with 2-storey house adjoining at rear. Chlorite-slate rubble with heavy pointing, large quoins, projecting cills and slab lintels.
NOS 6 AND 8:
S (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: symmetrical. Both houses with modern door to centre, windows in flanking bays and regular fenestration to 1st floor; that to right also with blocked door to outer right.
E ELEVATION: gabled elevation with 2 windows to each floor, those to ground and 1st floor left blocked. No 4 adjoining at outer right.
W ELEVATION: gabled elevation with window to left at each floor and No 10 adjoining at outer left.
NO 4:
E ELEVATION: 4-bay with modern door in bay to right of centre, 2 windows to left at ground and 1st floor, altered window to each floor at outer right.
N ELEVATION: plain gabled elevation.
Lying 12-pane glazing pattern to 1st floor S (No 6) and E; 2-pane upper sashes over plate glass to No 8, and plate glazing patterns elsewhere all in timber sash and case windows. Graded grey slates to Nos 6 and 8, concrete tiles to No 4. Coped ashlar stacks with some cans. Overhanging eaves with plain bargeboarding.
