Description
Locherlour Steading is an extensive farm building located on a sloping site, originally designed to be symmetrical. It was built from rubble and is dated 1832, with significant additions made in 1872. The architecture is simple and classic. A notable feature is a 14-foot disused undershot water wheel, which has an iron frame, a central shaft, and circumference gearing that likely dates from the 1872 additions.
