Description

Late 18th to early 19th century, extended Mills & Shepherd, 1938. Single storey, piend-roofed lodge house with gothic details. Rubble and lined render with droved ashlar dressings.

S (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: projecting bay to left with canted window at centre, each face with pointed-arch opening and gablet head; centre gablet with high relief carved coat-of-arms worded 'VIVE UT VIVAS', flanking heraldic beasts and surmounted by crown. Lower blank bay to right.

W (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: modern porch to right of centre, window to outer right and 2 windows to left.

E ELEVATION: stepped elevation with piended bay to left of centre with pointed arch window to lower projecting gable, door in re-entrant angle to right and small window to recessed face; later set-back bay to outer right with window to left and timber-mullioned bipartite to right.

N ELEVATION: blank.

Lying 8-pane glazing pattern in timber sash and case windows, and Y-traceried pointed arch windows. Graded grey slates. Coped ashlar centre stack with cans.

BOUNDARY WALLS AND GATEPIERS: low saddleback-coped rubble boundary walls with ball-finialled cylindrical gatepiers.
