Description
The War Memorial at St Columba's Church on Perth Road in Crieff was built around 1920 and commemorates those who served in the First World War. It features a Celtic Cross made of red sandstone. The memorial has a carved inscription on a battered plinth, which is topped by a reduced band relief that includes the years '1914' and '1918'. The cross itself is richly decorated with interlaced patterns, a pierced wheel, and a central flower.
Surrounding the memorial are square-section ashlar gatepiers with mitre coping, decorative ironwork gates, and saddleback-coped stepped boundary walls that include inset decorative cast-iron railings.
