The exterior is finished in painted lined out stucco with raised, smooth margins, while the rear is covered in concrete harl. The building has an eaves band and includes a pair of small piended dormers. The shops are adorned with a dentilled cornice and decorative scroll console brackets, which support semicircular pediments above. There are timber fascias, stallrisers, and slender mullions. The central entrance features a pair of recessed doors, with the shop on the left (No 46) showcasing curved lobby glass to the left. At the rear, there is a stair tower topped with a conical slate roof. The windows are predominantly non-traditional tilt and turn types, and the roof is covered with grey slates, while the shops have plate glass.
