Description

The Sir Walter Statue, located at King's Place in Perth, was created by the Cochrane Brothers in 1845. It features a corniced square-plan stone plinth that is raised on two additional plinths. The statue itself depicts Sir Walter Scott standing and facing north, dressed in a toga. His right hand rests on a broken column, and a deerhound lies beside him. An inscription on the northern side reads "SIR WALTER SCOTT BT 1771-1832."
