Description
Girnal House, located at 91 High Street in Auchterarder, was built around 1835 to 1840. This two-storey building features an Edwardian attic and is constructed from stugged ashlar stone with margins. The entrance is highlighted by a central Roman Doric column doorpiece with a niche above, flanked by narrow windows. There is one window on either side of the entrance, and the building has quoin ends. The name 'GIRNAL HOUSE' is displayed in well-preserved Victorian cast lettering. The library and institute additions were made by G.T. Ewing in 1896.
