Description

This is a sandstone milestone from the early to mid-20th century, located at Lythes, South Walls, Hoy. It features a segmental head and is inscribed in sans serif characters with the name 'N.NESS' (North Ness) above the number '5' and a pointing arrow indicating south. Below that, it also has 'S.NESS' (South Ness) with a pointing arrow indicating north.
