Description

This early 20th century milestone is located to the north of Gallow Tuag in South Walls, Hoy. It is made of stone and features a segmental head. The milestone is inscribed with the name 'N.NESS' (North Ness) above the number '5' and an arrow pointing to the right. Above the number '2' and an arrow pointing to the left, it also has the name 'K.HOPE' (Kirkhope).
