Harbour View, Front Road, St Margaret's Hope

Harbour View, located on Front Road in St Margaret's Hope, is likely a late 18th century house with 19th century additions. This two-storey, three-bay, L-shaped building features a crowstepped design and includes a former smoke house that adjoins it, situated within an irregular terrace to the west. The exterior is constructed from red sandstone rubble, accented with thin render to mimic ashlar stonework, and includes stone lintels and sills.

The northern elevation is symmetrical, with a bay slightly off-center that contains a timber door at ground level and a small window above. The flanking bays feature windows on both floors. On the southern elevation, there is a recessed bay to the right of center, with a window on the first floor and a tiny opening to the left at ground level.

The right return of the advanced gable on the left incorporates the former smoke house, which is in a slightly lower bay. The building has a variety of openings, with timber sash and case windows displaying 4- and 12-pane glazing patterns, although some openings have been blocked. The roof is covered with grey slates, and there are coped squared rubble stacks with some clay cans. The crowstepped skews are ashlar-coped, with a flat skew on the former smoke house.

Inside, the property features some Victorian panelling, ceiling beams, and boarded timber ceilings.
