Description

The windmill at Holland Farm on Papa Westray dates back to 1865. It features a turret post mill stump that is harled and stands 2.9 meters high, with a tapered rubble tower. The top of the stump is covered with flagstones, and there is a timber centre post still in place.

The structure includes a single-storey grain store with a pitched roof and crude semi-crowstepped gables. The roof is made of overseamed flagstones and has aisins.

On the east elevation, there is a central timber boarded door, while the south elevation is plain. The west elevation also has a central door, and the north elevation is plain as well. The interior is open and empty.
