Description
This early 19th century watermill is a single-storey building with a rectangular plan and a low lean-to at the rear (west). It is constructed of random rubble and features gabled end walls.
On the east and west sides, there is a central, dressed round-arched doorway. The south gable has a square-headed doorway that is offset to the left. The north gable includes a centred square opening for the water-wheel shaft, which is set low in the wall and still has remnants of the timber water-wheel axle in place. There is a flagstone-lined lade running east-west along the north gable.
Inside, as of 1998, the machinery has been removed, revealing an exposed timber-framed roof.
