Description
This early 19th century watermill, located at Reawick House in Reawick, is a single-storey grain mill with a rectangular plan. The southwest gable features a vertically-boarded timber door, while the northwest elevation has a small square window with a door to the left. There is also a small square window at the northeast gablehead. On the southeast elevation, a 6-spoke, single-ring cast-iron waterwheel with a square axle is positioned to the right of centre, accompanied by two small openings that may have been used for operating the sluice.
Inside, the mill has a raised timber floor at the southern end and a cobbled floor to the north. Some walls are lined with vertically-boarded timber. The interior also contains cast-iron gearing and timber threshing machines that remain intact along the southeast wall.
