Description

Earlier 19th century. 2-storey, 3-bay, rectangular-plan, symmetrical, gabled house. Yellow ashlar sandstone, channelled to 1st storey. Projecting long and short, chamfered quoins. Base course, projecting cornice between 1st and 2nd storey, moulded eaves course. Cavetto moulded windows.

S ( PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: regular fenestration. Stone forestairs to central advanced porch, flanking pilasters studded with nailhead bosses, consoled projecting cornice, timber panelled door, 2-pane fanlight.

N (REAR) ELEVATION: irregular fenestration. Tall semicircular-arched stair window to centre.

E (SIDE) ELEVATION: single storey pavilion wing. Regular fenestration to upper storey.

W (SIDE) ELEVATION: mirror of E.

6-pane, sash and case windows. Grey slates, lead flashing. Coped gable stacks and skews. Cast-iron rainwater goods.

INTERIOR: divided into 2 flats with entrance to upper flat through door to rear, connected to original central staircase.

BOUNDARY WALL: random rubble wall, chamfered coping.
