Description

Originally the "commodious lodging" attached to the baths

(demolished) projected by the Earl of Eglinton and later

purchased by Dr MacFadzean. Square plan; weathered masonry

patched with cement; 2 storeys; 3 sash windows with painted

margins and some original glazing at ground, 1 central

piended canted dormer. (Modern glazing in 1st floor);

projecting porch; conical slate roof, centre stack, wide

spreading eaves with plastered soffit. The centre windows

on the facade towards Arran Place are imitation painted

panels.
