Description

Early 20th century. Multiple gable fronted, irregular plan, roadside block of factory complex. Yellow facing bricks to front, commons to sides and rear. Battered base course, round arch windows.

NW (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: 10 gable end bays grouped 9-1, bipartites with oculus above in 6 bays, single window with segmental arch doorway off-centre to left, single window with large segmental arch window third bay from right, entrance door second bay from right, window formed from blocked and lintelled entrance in small bay to right. Brick voussoirs to heads, oculi and ventilators.

NE ELEVATION: blank end wall, subsequent bays extend further to E.

SW ELEVATION: later harling and irregular modern fenestration to original block to left, subsequent bays and outbuildings extend to E.

SE ELEVATION: gable ends of the 10 bays, irregular elevation partly obscured by outbuildings.

Bipartites with 21-pane timber sash and case glazing. "Northlight" roofs part glazed, part grey tiles, timber barge board with mouldings.

INTERIOR: not seen 1997.
