Description
Eglinton House in Kilwinning dates from 1798 and is a single-storey building with a six-sided room at its center, which has an attic room above. The plan is shaped like a V and features a columned verandah at the center. The house is constructed of red brick with white painted stone detailing. It is an attractive estate cottage that once served as the residence for the head gardener, and it includes an older kitchen wing at the rear.
