Description
Eglinton Castle is a ruined castle-style mansion built around 1796. Tradition attributes the design to the architect Paterson. It is situated within Eglinton Country Park, Irvine. The castle was constructed in a castle style, and is now a ruin. Further information can be found in “Castles & Mansions of Ayrshire” by A.H.
