Description
This is an iron bridge spanning the Lugton Water, likely constructed within a few years of the 1830s. Initially, the bridge had a Gothic parapet, which has since been removed. References to the bridge can be found in the New Statistical Account, Volume V, pages 824-5, and in the Scheduled Ancient Monuments list.
