Description
Brownhill House in Kilbirnie is a late 18th century building featuring two storeys and an attic, with a three-bay front. To the left, there is a two-bay extension from the early 19th century that shares similar detailing. The exterior is finished in painted ashlar with margins. The front has a centrally placed pilastered doorpiece topped with a cornice and blocking course. The house has 12-pane sash windows throughout, along with an eaves course, cornice, and two piended dormers. There are end stacks and a slate roof. The two-bay extension includes two windows on both the ground and first floors, an eaves course, a cornice, an end stack, and a slate roof. Additionally, there are lower service buildings located to the rear and to the right of the main house.
