Description

This is an earlier 19th-century building, prominently located at 89 and 91 Main Street, Kilbirnie. It is two storeys high and three bays wide. The exterior is of painted ashlar, with contrasting painted dressings outlining the windows and corners. A recessed doorway is positioned off-centre, sheltered by a pilastered doorpiece. To the left of the doorway is a shop front with an enlarged window, while a single window with lying-pane glazing sits on the right. The first floor has three irregularly placed sash windows, now fitted with modern glazing. A cornice and eaves course run along the top of the building, and there are end chimney stacks rising from a slate roof.
