Description
The building is a former manse located in Cuier, Barra, designed by probably John Loban of Stornoway and built in 1816. It is a symmetrical, 2-storey and attic structure with single-storey flanking wings, all harled. The west elevation features a shallow advanced inner bay that is taller and gabled, complete with a piended porch. There are two piended canted dormers and apex stacks. Each wing consists of three bays with an inner door, and the windows are mostly small-paned sash types. The roofs are slate. At the rear, there is a stair turret. Additionally, there is a walled garden to the east that is linked to the house.
