Ty Cymro, Ruisgarry, Berneray, Isle of North Uist

Ty Cymro is a single-storey, four-bay thatched cottage located in Ruisgarry, Berneray, on the Isle of North Uist. Likely built in the 19th century, this Hebridean-style cottage is set on a slope. It features thick, slightly battered walls made of rubble, with both squared and curved angles. The east elevation has an entrance that is off-centre to the left, and the window openings have splayed reveals with raised concrete lintels. There are end chimney stacks, and the roof is covered with marram thatch, which has a continuous marram ridge secured with netting and weighted down with stones.

Adjacent to the northeast gable wall is a ruinous former dwelling, which may have historically been connected to this cottage.
