Description
This is a two-story Swiss cottage house dating to around 1860. It has a rectangular plan with a rear wing facing east. The ground floor is constructed from coursed rubble with tooled rubble dressings, while the first floor is weather-boarded and encircled by a wide verandah. The verandah is supported by decorative brackets and features a wooden balustrade with silhouette balusters. The windows are four-light and originally had lattice-pane glazing, now featuring single panes. Deep projecting eaves are supported by shaped brackets, matching those on the verandah, and by angle posts rising from the verandah balustrade. The roof is slate-covered and features slender wooden apex finials, as well as end and wallhead stacks topped with gablet caps and chimney cans.
