Description
Union Bridge, located over the River Isla on Regent Street in Keith, dates back to 1770 and was widened in 1816. It underwent enlargement and partial rebuilding in 1912, with subsequent repairs made thereafter. The bridge features a single span, with the original span mostly encased in later masonry and modern concrete. It has an ashlar string course and a parapet cope topped by a low metal rail. The end piers are adorned with crenellated caps that support metal standard lamps. The approximate span of the bridge is 40 feet.
