Description
Appin House is a house dating from around 1800, featuring two storeys and a dormerless attic. It has a two-storey rear wing that is said to have been built in 1914. The house is constructed of rubble with tooled ashlar dressings. The front has a central two-leaf door, with two-pane glazing in the ground and first-floor windows, and a small east gable attic window. The end stacks have shaped copes, and the roof is covered with slate.
The two-storey, two-bay rear wing is positioned at right angles and faces west, with a first-floor window that breaks the wallhead under a gablet. This wing also has a slate roof.
Surrounding the property is a coped rubble garden wall that encloses a triangular garden plot.
