Description

John Urquhart, architect, Forres, 1845. 3 storeys, 6 bays.

Ashlar frontage and dressings, rubble rear and flank. End

bays framed by giant pilasters at upper floors and surmounted

by block pediments; block pediments above tall 1st floor

windows. Lying-pane glazing. Bracketted entablature; 2nd

floor cill course. Panelled end stacks; slate roof.

Modern front at ground floor.

Return elevation to Caroline Street with early decorative skewputt. (probably reused).
