Description

66 High Street in Forres is a building constructed between 1830 and 1840. It has two storeys and an attic, featuring two bays, and includes a late 19th century shop. The ground floor has a central door flanked by two windows, along with a flat arched pend. The first floor is finished in painted ashlar with polished ashlar margins. The windows on the first floor have architraves, aprons, and cornices, with a string course above, a cornice, and a low parapet. There are two original piended dormers with two-pane glazing, and the roof is slate. At the rear, there is a six-bay wing (No 64A and 64B) made of rubble, with tooled ashlar dressings.
