Description
The Dovecot at Seafield Farm in Cullen is an earlier 19th-century small two-storey building that originally housed a privy on the ground floor and a dovecot on the first floor. It features harl-pointed rubble with tooled rubble dressings and some brickwork, with the lower half of the structure incorporated into the garden wall.
Access to the privy is through an entrance in the southwest wall, which is enclosed by a small rubble-walled yard. The northwest wall has a long plank door leading to the dovecot, which includes two rows of four brick flight holes, each fronted by slate alighting ledges on the southwest face. The building has a slate roof.
Inside the dovecot, the walls are lined with brick nesting boxes, while the privy is finished with planking.
