Description
38 Church Street in Portknockie is a late 19th century house, which may include elements from an earlier cottage. It is a single-storey and attic structure with three bays. The exterior is rendered and lined to resemble ashlar, featuring contrasting painted long and short dressings, with rubble flanks. The house has a central entrance and canted dormers in the outer bays, topped with decorative cast-iron finials. The windows consist of 2-pane and 4-pane glazing, and there are coped end stacks on a slate roof. Additionally, there is a single-storey gabled timber fishing store at the west gable, which has a door and window on the south front and a corrugated-iron roof.
