Description

8 Admiralty Street in Portknockie is an early 20th-century house featuring a single window and attic, arranged in three bays. The building is constructed of rubble with contrasting painted joints and concrete dressings. It has a wide hoodmoulded central entrance that includes the original panelled door and a panelled base for the sidelights. On either side of the entrance are bipartite windows with shallow, chamfered segmental-headed lintels. The outer bays have wallhead canted dormers, and the glazing consists of 2- and 4-pane windows. The house has coped end stacks and a slate roof.
