Description

The Old Bridge in Newbattle is a 16th-century structure made of coursed, tooled sandstone. It features a two-span design with pointed arches and a hoodmould. The bridge includes triangular cutwaters and has a curved refuge in the upstream parapet, as well as a triangular refuge in the downstream parapet. The road surface is tarmac.
