Inverness Roman Catholic Junior Secondary School, Huntly Street, Inverness

Inverness Roman Catholic Junior Secondary School, built in 1869 by Matthews & Lawrie, is designed in the Tudor Collegiate style and constructed from coursed stone with ashlar dressings. The building has two storeys and an attic, with the east wing projecting forward and featuring a gabled facade facing Huntly Street. It includes three bipartite windows, two of which are located in the gable of the wing, along with a ground floor bipartite and a tripartite window. The first floor has a dormer with elaborately carved bargeboards and an arched two-light window in the gable of the attic. At the rear, there is a belfry topped with a fish-scale slated broach spire. The school also has additions at the rear, designed by W L Carruthers in 1896 and later.
