Description
Gray's Cottage, located at Rosehaugh House, is a two-storey asymmetrical house designed in the style of William Flockhart around 1900. It features English Vernacular Revival architecture with Arts and Crafts details. The cottage has a tiled and slated mansard roof and a prominent front chimney, which is complemented by small ground floor windows that light the inglenook. The exterior is dry-dashed and has deep coved plastered eaves. Vertical timber studding is present on the gablet and porch, which includes a Tudor arched doorway with a heavy wooden door. Additionally, there are wrought iron scroll brackets supporting the rainwater goods and a wrought iron weather vane. A new wing and garage have been added to the rear, designed in a similar style to the original structure.
