Description

The garden at Rosehaugh House was designed by landscape gardener C H J Smith from Edinburgh in 1844, with later alterations. It features extensive random rubble walling that encloses the garden area, including occasional arched gateways topped with stone coping, such as the one opposite Grays Cottage. The moulded coping of the wall is made from a coarse concrete mix that includes medium-sized pebbles as aggregate.
