Description
Garden House, dating from around 1845, is an asymmetrical cottage that features one storey and an attic, with three bays. The right bay is advanced and gabled, showcasing a canted bay window. At the center, there is a porch located in the re-entrant angle, which has simple bargeboards and a wooden finial.
The ground floor window is sheltered by a bracketed stone canopy, and above it, there is a bargeboarded dormer. The south elevation also includes a ground floor canted bay with a bargeboarded dormer above, and both bays retain their lattice casements. The building is constructed of red snecked ashlar with polished ashlar dressings. A round ashlar chimney with a square moulded cope is present, and the roof is made of slate. There is a later service wing at the south-east. Additionally, the property features ashlar gate-piers topped with pyramidal copes.
