Description
These are a pair of single-story cottages, built in 1878 as part of the Fearn Railway Cottages, designed by Murdoch Paterson, a civil engineer. The cottages were constructed using whitewashed rubble stone with painted, tooled dressings. Each cottage has a central door flanked by two-pane sash windows in the outer bays. The roofs are slate-covered with deep eaves and bargeboards, and the cottages are topped by corniced ridge stacks. An advertisement for tenders appeared in the Inverness Courier on March 7, 1878.
