Description
This is an 1820s single-storey and attic house, originally with a three-bay design and a central door that is now masked by a later timber porch. The exterior is whitewashed rubble construction. Three dormers rise through the roof in gablets, with four-pane windows and end chimney stacks. The roof is slate. A single-storey, two-bay gabled weaving shed, also of whitewashed rubble with a corrugated iron roof, extends from the east gable. A byre or steading range sits at a right angle to the west, again with a corrugated iron roof. The buildings are a representative example of a Strathcarron croft dwelling. The corrugated iron roofs replaced what were originally thatched roofs.
