Description

The Gate House, likely designed by Ross and Macbeth in 1895, is a single-story, symmetrical gate lodge with three bays facing north, and a rear wing. The exterior walls are harled with ashlar margins. The central doorway is topped with a bracketed hood, and there is a bipartite window in the east gable. The windows have varied glazing, and a central ridge stack rises from the piended slate roof. A low retaining wall with cast-iron spearhead railings and a matching pedestrian gate sits nearby. The gate house is situated opposite the main entrance to Gledfield House.
