Description
This is a late 19th century stable block, originally part of Gledfield House. It is a single storey building with an attic, constructed of rubble stone and featuring six bays. A central clock tower rises above the stables, with clock faces visible on the north and south sides. The tower sits on a square plinth with applied timber framing, and above is an arcaded cupola topped with an ogee lead roof and weathercock. The eastern portion of the stable block was built as a dwelling. Dormers, each with a piended roof, are visible – three on the north side and two on the south side, with additional piended dormers punctuating the roofline. Ridge stacks are present, and the roof is covered in slate.
