Description
This is an 1820s house with later alterations, located in Strathcarron. It is a single-story and attic dwelling, originally with three bays, the central doorway now concealed behind a timber porch. The walls are constructed of whitewashed rubble. Three dormers with gablets rise through the roofline, and the windows have four-pane glazing. Chimneys are located at each end of the building, and the roof is covered in slate.
Attached to the east gable is a single-story, two-bay gabled weaving shed, also built of whitewashed rubble and covered with a corrugated iron roof. A byre and steading range extend at right angles to the west, also featuring a corrugated iron roof. The roofs have been replaced with corrugated iron, formerly thatched. The building represents a typical example of a Strathcarron croft dwelling.
