Description
The stables, dating from 1869 and designed by Alexander Ross, are a single-storey and attic, U-plan block linked to the rear of Kindeace House by harled retaining walls which form a rectangular courtyard. The stables are arranged around a central court roofed by a canopy. A carriage house is located on the left side, and a cottage on the right, both with similarly styled pointed-headed windows on the first floor. A bellcote with a weather vane sits on the ridge, and end stacks are present. The roof is covered in slate, and gable details incorporate coats of arms initialled 'GR HE'. Projecting gable end bays feature crowstepped details. Additional details include a pointed-headed window above the carriage house and a similar first-floor window above the cottage.
