Description

The Scotsburn Bridge, built in 1847, is a wide arched bridge with a smaller, secondary arch to the east. It is constructed of coursed rubble, with the arch rings featuring tooled rubble. The bridge includes triangular cutwaters and a shallow buttress. The river bed beneath the primary arch is cobbled. It has a dressed rubble cope and a splayed approach. An advertisement for tenders appeared in the Inverness Courier on April 20, 1847.
