Description

A single-storey terrace built in 1863 by A & W Reid of Elgin and Inverness, originally comprising three three-bay cottages and now used as a single dwelling. The building is constructed of harl-pointed rubble with tooled rubble dressings. Numbers 1 and 2 retain their original central doors, while the entrance to number 3 is now blocked. The windows are fitted with 12-pane glazing, and the roof is slate-covered with overhanging eaves, featuring paired ridge stacks. A low front garden wall is present. The cottages were built as retirement housing for the Guisachan Estate, intended for a cowman, ploughman, and other rural workers. Records relating to the property can be found at Moray District Record Office, Forres, DAWP 1232/13-14.
