Description
Achmore Farm comprises a farmhouse and steading, built in 1868. The farmhouse is a two-storey, three-bay structure designed by Alexander Ross. The exterior is harled, with four-pane glazing and end stacks. The roof is slate, with a piended profile. A later projecting gabled porch obscures the central front door. A single-storey wing extends to the rear, which may have originally served as a farmhouse. The steading is a single-storey range arranged in a U-plan, constructed of rubble. An advertisement for tenders appeared in the Inverness Advertiser on 12 June 1868.
