Description
The burial ground, associated with the parish church, was developed in the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries, and includes a gabled entrance arch constructed from grey rubble with granite dressings. The arch contains cast and wrought-iron gates erected as a memorial to the First World War (1914-1918) and includes a later datestone commemorating the Second World War (1939-1945). Smaller flanking piers with matching pedestrian gates are present. Inscriptions are in both English and Gaelic. The burial ground is enclosed by a rubble wall and contains a collection of interesting tombstones dating from the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries. The site incorporates the foundations of an earlier parish church.
