Description
This late 18th century warehouse occupies a corner site on Quay Street in Ullapool, where it also fronts onto Shore Street. The building is three storeys high and three bays wide, and is faced in harled render. A central doorway on the first floor is accessed by forestairs. The ground floor originally had doors symmetrically placed in the outer bays, although these have been replaced by later shop windows to the left of the door openings. The south gable facing Shore Street has a single window on the ground floor, first floor, and in the apex. An end stack is located on the north side. The building is referenced as The Captain's Cabin and is noted in John Hume’s The Industrial Archaeology of Scotland.
