Description
The Mill at Milton of Kilravock, dated 1733, likely incorporates earlier materials and is situated on an earlier site. It is a long single-storey building constructed of rubble, oriented north to south, with an ashlar-faced wheel gable at the southern end. The exterior is harl pointed with tooled dressings, crowsteps, and re-used finials. At the northern end, there is a rectangular kiln that rises slightly higher than the mill itself, featuring small piended dormers on both the east and west wallheads. The east elevation has a segmental-headed doorway, while the west elevation has a blocked doorway with simple chamfered architraves. A large door is located in the north gable, and there is a modern window in the south gable. A datestone from 1641 is inserted in the north gable, and another from 1733 is found in the south gable. The roof is covered with slate, primarily local slates, and has a stone ridge.
