Free Church, Glenurquhart

The Free Church in Glenurquhart, dated 1844, is a simple rectangular building that was reduced in height following fire damage around 1960 and subsequent restoration. The exterior is harled, featuring contrasting striated red sandstone ashlar margins. The south elevation is symmetrical with six bays, including square-headed entrances in the outer bays and four regularly spaced pointed-headed windows with blocked imposts. Similar windows are found on the north elevation and at the center of each return gable. The building has multi-pane glazing, gable apex finials, and a slate roof.

The church is bordered by a low coped front retaining wall, which has simple coped square piers flanking the central and side entrances. Inside, the church has a simple layout divided into three areas: an entrance lobby, the church itself, and a Minister's room. The central portion of the church features an octagonal pulpit with some cusped panelling.
